Due to the growing popularity of "silent spammers", I have added a new feature.

In order to fill out certain fields in your profile, you must have made two posts in the forum.

"Silent Spammers" are humans that create profiles on forums just in the hopes that Google will see their website and other links on their profile.
They do not openly spam the forum itself, they just make many useless accounts.

Some items like Website, Social Networks and Signature will not save unless you have made at least 2 posts.

Hopefully this change will fix that issue.

But what about the people who have already joined. Are you going to remove them?

One thing is they add up to the forum members count so anyone coming would see a higher number !!!

I am cleaning them up and I also ban multiple accounts from the same IP.

people lately spamming forum to getting profile link using Xrumer

I like that idea. I know that there is quite a bit of 'backlink training' going around the encourages doing the silent post thing where ever they can find a forum.

We get about 40 spam accounts created daily.  I am using a service that checks a known spammer database and requires manual approval for people on it.

OK people's accounts are auto approved.
